Layout matters more than the fixture
People often buy nice fixtures and end up with a room that still feels dark in the corners. Spacing, ceiling height, and beam angle decide how a room actually looks once the lights are on.
We lay out the cans before we cut a single hole. We talk through dimmers, color temperature, and switch locations so the room works the way you use it. Then we wire it clean.
The same goes for a shop. Two rows of the right fixture beat six of the wrong one.
Commercial lighting too
We light offices, retail floors, warehouses, and parking areas. That includes LED retrofits that cut energy use, exit and emergency lighting, and pole and wall pack lighting outside. We can work after hours so your floor stays open during business hours.
Common questions
How many recessed lights does a room need?
It depends on ceiling height, room size, the color of the walls, and how you use the space. A kitchen needs more light than a bedroom. We lay out the room and show you the plan before we cut.
Can you add recessed lighting to a finished ceiling?
Yes. Retrofit cans are made for this. We cut the holes, fish the wire, and patch is usually minimal. Attic access makes it easier, and we will tell you what to expect for your ceiling.
Do you install lights I already bought?
Yes. Buy the fixtures you want and we will install them. We can also point you toward fixtures that hold up if you would rather we spec them.
Can you add dimmers?
Yes. The dimmer has to match the fixture and the bulb, which is why some LED lights flicker on the wrong dimmer. We match them so it works.
Do you do landscape lighting?
Yes. We install low voltage landscape lighting with the wiring buried, transformers sized for the run, and timers or photocells so it comes on by itself.
Will you install a ceiling fan where there is no fixture now?
Yes. That means running a circuit, adding a switch leg, and mounting a fan rated box. It is a common job for us.
