Sometimes that is good news and the existing wiring is fine. Sometimes it is a shared neutral, a buried junction box, or a panel that has run out of room. You get the facts and a price, and you decide what to do.

Working around your life
Most remodels happen in a house people are still living in. We plan power shutoffs so you are not without a refrigerator or a working bathroom overnight. We keep the work area picked up at the end of each day, and we let you know what is happening tomorrow before we leave.
If you are working with a general contractor, we coordinate with their schedule the same way we do on new construction.
Common questions
Do I need a permit for remodel electrical work?
Usually yes, once you add circuits or alter wiring. Swapping a light fixture is different from rewiring a kitchen. We tell you which category your job falls into and we pull the permit when one is needed.
Can you add outlets to a room without tearing up the walls?
Often, yes. We fish wire through existing walls and ceilings when the framing allows it. We will tell you up front if a spot needs drywall repair, so it is not a surprise later.
My addition needs more power. What does that involve?
First we check what your current service and panel can carry. If there is capacity, we add circuits. If there is not, a panel or service upgrade comes first. Either way you get the price before work starts.
Can you work with my remodeling contractor?
Yes. We work as a subcontractor for builders and remodelers all over Wilson County and Middle Tennessee.
How much does it cost to rewire a kitchen?
